👉Participle হল একপ্রকার non finite verb যা সাধারণত verb-এর V1 form এর সঙ্গে- ing/d/ed/n/en ইত্যাদি যোগে গঠিত হয় এবং verb ও
Adjective/adverb-এর মতো কাজ করে।
অর্থাৎ,
V1+ing/d/ed/n/en= Participle (works both as a verb and adjective/adverb)
👉 Participle মুলত তিন প্রকার-
1.Present Participle: V1+ing.
Example: Going to the office, I met my boss.
2. Past Participle: verb এর V3 form কে সাধারণত past Participle বলে।
Example: I saw a wounded man.
3. Perfect Participle: Having/Having been+V3.
Example: Having been wounded, I went to the hospital.
👉Uses of participle:
:Present Participle:
1. To form present continuous tense:
The boys are playing in the field.
2. Attributively (Noun/Pronoun-এর বিশেষরূপে):
A rolling stone gathers no moss.
3. Predicatively (বিধেয় বিশেষরূপে):
He kept me waiting.
:Past and perfect participle:
1.As an adjective:
I saw a wounded man.
2.To form passive voice:
America was discovered by Columbus.
3.As a nominative absolute:
The sun having risen, the fog dispersed.
